Hershel Lee "Butch" Vaughn, 75, of South Point, OH, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born May 17, 1949, in Huntington, WV, son of the late Loren and Edna Barker Vaughn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Gene, Billy, Sammy, and Jimmy Vaughn; one sister, Freda Ash; and one baby sister, Lorna Vaughn. Butch is survived by his loving wife, Joan Stubbs Vaughn; one son, Hershel (Tracy) Vaughn, II; one sister, Sharon Payne; two brothers, Carl Vaughn, and Randy Vaughn; three grandchildren, Chris (Courtney) Vaughn, Scott (Marissa) Vaughn, and Olivia Vaughn; and six great-grandchildren, Colton Vaughn, Braxton Vaughn, Brynlee Vaughn, Emma Vaughn, Lily Massie, and Sophia Massie. Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Wallace Family Funeral Home, South Point, OH. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Burlington, OH.
